Depends on the occasion and the style and colour of the dress. If it is a very fancy dress for prom or something, clear or a french manicure. First give yourself a manicure, then paint them clear. Yellow is a very bright color and you don't want to overdo it.

Rite Aid has very cheap stuff. You can find almost everything there and not worry if it costs too much.

The Cheapest is the Dollar Store. They have a good variety and it changes often. Anything you buy there is a dollar. And they do carry top brands too.
I'm not sure how much money you want to spend, but go to your local drugstore. L'Oreal has their ';Hip'; line (Highly Intensified Pigment). Or if you want something cheaper look for Wet n Wild products, they have a lot of colors to choose from.

if you have a sally beauty supply near you i recommend going there for your polish. they have the brands that most nail salons use and they have a zillion shades, from red to 80s day glo orange and green.

If it's the nail bed itself (that's usually pink) it could be a sign of hypoperfusion. Meaning your blood isn't circulating the way it should be. Seek professional help. If it's actually the nail, then I have no clue, and again, see a doctor. Good luck to you! :]

dark reds or marroons complement almost every skin tone and they are easy to come across.

if you want to try something a bit different though maybe try a gold or light pink.
It's a little hard to see but it looks like your a medium tan complexion. I think some colors that would work on you are deep purples and browns, bronzes and dark reds like burgundy. Good luck!

It all depends on what look you are going for. Because you are wearing Ivory, virtually any color is possible. It just depends on if you want to stand out or look a certain way. If your favorite color is red, go for it.

The Red will make your nails stand out and you may get a lot of compliments on them. You will definitely be noticed with the color red. It's an attention getter.

I would advise against black or neutrals. There isn't much of a message conveyed there.

Greens or blues can set a calm mood. Oranges and Reds pop out. The intensity of the color and the hue of the color can make a big difference. If you went for a neon lime, I would say that wouldn't be calming, but it could be almost alarming for some.

Definitely, whatever you decide, be sure that you like it and feel comfortable with it. And try to make sure you have another accessory or some sort of makeup with the same color. Like your shoes, a barrette, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or bracelet.

That style rule went out in the 80's. Kind of like matching you lipstick and nail polish, or matching your lipstick to your purse, or any of that ';matching'; rules. Sorry, but it doesn't look that good, almost like you don't have a mind of your own. Besides, most fashion ';rules'; are guidelines set for people who don't know how to dress themselves without outside help.

I love to go with bolder colors in my polish. So I have lots of raspberries, purples, and reds. I don't go crazy in my colors, like blues or greens. I outgrew that about 10 years ago. I don't paint my fingernails since it's kind of a no-no for estheticians. You're really supposed to have them buffed so peaple can see you don't have dirt under your fingernails. I keep my toes painted all year round though. Right now they're a dark red that I've been using since Christmas. I'll probably switch to a light purple for spring. Yes they should be polished the same color, depending on skin tone and hair color a pink or nice bright red or dark red is good, stay away from some of those other colors the only thing they accomplish is make you look ridiculous instead of attracting the type of attention that you want them to.

That is the 'proper' way to do it - the same color. Now a days a lot of women don't follow that protocol. For example, some wear a darker color on their toes and lighter one on their hands. My favorite color at the moment is deep red - not the bright one. I like OPI nail polishes.
I agree with matching toes and fingers.. My favorite color to get is Black Cherry but sometimes I will get color on one and french on the other. The nail place I went to painted my fingernails black cherry and did a french on my toes using black cherry for the tip instead of white.
I've heard the opposite, that you should wear complimentary colors, light on the fingers and dark on the toes. I go the other way around though, I like dark fingernails and light toenails. I get my nails done and my favorite fingernails are a blue french manicure, with dark blue opaque tips and sheer lighter blue on the beds. I also like dark pink tips with a light pink opaque beds too. Also, any color that isn't old lady, purple, hot pink, orange, lime green, bright yellow, love them! I would not put glitter on, but that is just my opinion.

Bright colors/blacks are in right now, so I would go with hot pink, blue, light purple, bright red or black.

If you want to go edgy, try doing two different colors, or maybe one color with designs [polka dots, stripes, etc] in a different color.

sqeeze a very little amount of toothpaste in finger, and apply it in all the nails.then massage and clean with finger on each nail,and wash the hands(nails).

also

Dip ur finger nails in a bowl containing lemon juice,for 1 or 2 minutes. then wash the hands.

Almost any colour now but it depends on the occasion. Bright summer colours would be for probably a day at the beach or just hang out while softer colours are usually for formal occasions and there are those what I call momentary, like black which applies just because you feel like it.

Say it was blue you could use a very pale sky blue on your nails.

I was doing my nails the other day and came across the same problem as you. I decided that flourescent green actually looks quite good when mixed with a lighter skin tone. I have the same issue. Try colors that are just a few shades deeper than your skin tone - not too bright or too dark. Keep your nails on the long side. When you paint them, leave a thin strip on either side of the nail unpainted. to me you need bright colors like red shades, dark corals,

something that will stand out. Light shades on fair skin will blend too much and make your fingers look shorter and nail color won't show up as well.
experiment with diffrent colors in the light shades.

ie: light pink, lavender, a redd-ish color, yellow, orange, sunset-y colors

or if you are wild %26amp;%26amp; crazy try some neon colors that you can get at hot topic.

ie: neon green or blue i think would be best, probably more so green.

black would be the LAST colour to experiment with seeing as it is nearly mpossible to get off.

TIP: make sure that the color you choose matches with the clothes in your closet that you plan on wearing some time in the near future.
I find that a really sparkle translucent color works well with me!

I'd choose hot pink, or white, or shimmery gold or silver.
Definitely a deep pink (almost red) that sparkles for the toes, I recently had that done and it looked fantastic with my tan. For the fingers don't go light pink, it looks too barbie doll against a darker tan. Subtle, almost skin coloured browns and pinks are great, or go for a french manicure. Another idea for finger nails: a pearly pink. Unlike non-sparkly light pinks it really enhances a tan, my friend (Italien and deeply tanned) recently got that colour and it looks amazing!

Light colors make your skin appear darker. I'd suggest a metallic white, or a light pink, do two coats though, so it doesn't go on clear.

I think its a dark purple like a violet type. But purple nails don't match a red and black coat with a bamboo hat, don't you think?

I understand that people want to look good, it could make them feel good about themself, raise self-esteem, help them to be more outgoing and try and accomplish things they never would have otherwise considered. BUT, unfortunately, that isn't always the progression. Some people get so caught up in the fakeness of looks that it stumps their mental growth and maturity.

What is beautiful is the natural look. There were and still are times when I wish people would have to walk around with no make up or cosmetices or anything to enhance their look. I mean no one can wear cosmetics all the time. Get your nails done. When they ask what you want tell them light pink filling with a french tip! :) If you can't get them done, paint them light pink. :)

It depends on what kind of look you're going for.

Personally, I think deep, dark colors are very sexy! My favorites are Lincoln Park After Dark (a deep purple) by OPI and I Don't Do Dishes (my favorite red polish--ever!), also by OPI. I have pretty fair skin so I love the contrast with darker polishes. I am always getting compliments on my manicures! Contrary to what the girl above me said about dark polishes standing out too much against fair skin.

I normally paint my nails a dark red but Friday I decided to try a different bright color called Cajun Shrimp by OPI. I love it. It's kind of like a melon color. It's orange with a little hint of pink. It's bright and a little funky and reminds me of spring time.
